Asus intends to up the ante when it comes to the world of gaming notebooks, this time round expanding the Republic of Gamers (ROG) collection with the G74SX model. Just what can you expect from the G74SX? How about incredible visual performance as a staple for starters, thanks to the use of a 2nd generation Intel Core i7 CPU and NVIDIA GTX 560M GPU with 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM? Not only that, the G74SX is said to support the latest Microsoft DirectX11 graphics, making sure your eyes will always experience popping visuals without dropping any frame rates in the process. Not only that, the G74SX will work in tandem with NVIDIA 3D Vision and 3DTV Play technology, making sure the 3D revolution can be carried with you wherever you go – either that, or you can always hook it up to a 3D-capable HDTV just in case you need a larger viewing real estate. To pair up such performance with looks has been a mission statement of the Asus G74SX right from the beginning as it boasts a sleek updated st...
It is a good time to be a tablet or smartphone right now, so I don’t see any reason why in the world someone couldn’t combine them. It looks like ASUS is doing that with the Padfone, and they showed it off at Computex Taipai in Taiwan. As you can see, the Padfone tablet opens up in the back so the Padfone smartphone can nestle safely in the back. Not much else is known about this, but the smartphone should have a 3G connection. There is no point in doing that whole “oh, where did I put that document” game. Just put it all in one place by plugging the phone into the tablet, and you have your data in both places. The ASUS Padfone is planned on being out some time around the holidays. I believe that ...

Asus has rolled out (at long last, after numerous delays) its EeeKeyboard PC — this is a fully-functional PC that looks like your standard keyboard at first glanced, but you will be pleasantly surprised to know that there is a svelte and stylish keyboard concealed within. It has been a long time in coming, having been first unveiled at CES back in 2009, taking its own sweet time to hit the streets. Tipping the scales at a mere 1kg, the EeeKeyboard PC is capable of functioning with virtually any HDTV, monitor, or projector in order for it to function as a full-fledged PC. Users will be able to enjoy a wireless computing platform via the EeeKeyboard PC thanks to its Ultra-wideband (UWB) Wireless Display connectivity that lets you stream HD 720p videos up to a 5-meter range, while hitting a maximum 10-meter range where non-video transfers are concerned. Apart from that, you also get a built-in 5″ multi-touch panel that offers users with an interactive and intuitive means of dire...
