Check out this Konect USB watch!

What you are seeing here is the Konect USB watch, and it appears to be designed for our post watch era. Seriously, I haven’t used a watch since I got my cellular phone, and I’m guessing that I am not alone. The Konect comes with a slot for a USB drive, and it does more than just keep it safe. The user will be able to access any tunes that are on the USB. Something tells me that you might want to get some USB 3.0 action in on this. You will notice that I did say this was a watch, so where is the clock? Actually, it is one of those clocks that you’ll probably have to take a while to learn how to read. Seriously, how do you read this? It looks like just a blue and white circle to me. The Konect USB watch hooks up with a Bluetooth headset, so it can hook up with a phone. However, I can’t seem to understand why you would hook up a Bluetooth headset to this thing if it is already hooked up to your phone. I guess you could listen to the music from the thumb drive. ...

    Wake Up with a Stripper?

Okay, I have always had male friends, so I have been privy to more “man stories” than I would care to recount. While I have always enjoyed being one of the boys, some stuff took a while for me to understand. I would never tell them, but there are definitely some boy things that I could have been happier not knowing, but now that I get it, I’m sorry to bring to your attention, the Pole Dancer Alarm Clock. Here’s a chance to wake up to a buxom bikini-clad blonde spinning and twirling seductively around a pole as ba-chika-chika-ba music plays and cool colored lights flash on and off, she may be made of plastic, just like most… oh never mind. To hear it told most men don’t care what their woman are made of. If you’re still with me, and actually interested in the clock functionality, the clock part features a digital LED display with hour/minute, alarm set on/off, a demo button, snooze, and a light to illuminate the awesome display in the dark… ohhhh, that’s nice ...

The Video Surveillance Clock Sees All

In this day and age, we have the ability to know everything that’s going on in our lives, even when you’re not there. With the advent of the surveillance camera, we have become privy to whats happening in our streets and shops, or even what our kids are up to while they’re at pre-school. Parking lots, airports, the grocery store, somebody is always watching us. It got me to wondering, whats going on in my house when I’m not home. Not that I don’t trust my husband, but I know I’m not the only one who wonders whats going on when I’m not looking, so in order to “catch” my husband telling people on the phone how wonderful I am, or walking around the house muttering to himself how much he misses me while hugging my pillow (hey, it’s my story, I’ll tell it the way I want to!) I’m thinking about the Video Surveillance Clock. This small (2 3/4″ Diam. x 3/4″ D ) analog clock has a built-in, motion-activated video surveillance camera that records both audio an...

  • Do Gong Alarm Clocks ring the bell?

Do Gong Alarm Clocks ring the bell?

These are some Gong Alarm Clocks, and they are designed for the Wrestling and Boxing fans in your life. They are modeled after the ringside bells that are at these matches, and I am not certain how they work. Allow me to explain. According to my Source, the wrestling alarm clock sounds for 3 counts before it counts you out before it sounds the gong. As for the other boxing version, it will count to ten before it “buzzes”. In other words, it is sending out a message that if you don’t get up, you are a loser. I don’t like the implication, even though it is not verbal. Oh man, isn’t getting up hard enough already? I don’t know if you are thinking what I am thinking, but the first time I saw these alarms, I thought that this was an alarm that has to be shut off by pounding it with the included hammer. That doesn’t seem to be the case, but I don’t see anything in my Source about that. It wouldn’t be right to assume that this device ...

  • The IQ alarm clock

    The IQ alarm clock

I don’t know about you, but I can’t really figure out at what point in time to I become truly awake. We once covered devices like the SleepTracker that find the primary “wakeup point” of the user, but this IQ Alarm has a different idea. Imagine if you had an alarm that puts you in a mentally ready state so that you will want to get up, because you are too intellectually stimulated to go back to sleep again. That would be the IQ Alarm, a concept device that wakes the user up with the usual alarm sound, but in order to make the alarm stop, you have to answer one to three questions. My Source does not say what happens if the user does not answer the questions correctly. Hopefully this won’t cause the IQ Alarm clock to sound even louder. By the way, there clock has a tamper-resistant battery cover, so you won’t be able to just shut the thing off by removing the power source. By the way, where will the questions come from? There had better be at least...

Insignia’s Infocast – The Facebook, Internet Radio, YouTube, WiFi Alarm Clock?

I was thinking, with all the high tech stuff I have, why is it that I still have one of those alarm clocks that starts my day with a decidedly low tech “click” followed by the dreaded, increasingly louder “beep beep beep”? I mean seriously, shouldn’t I be able to do better than that? Today I am chucking that thing out the window and getting Insignia’s Infocast, the coolest thing to hit your nightside table since, well, that’s not really any of your business is it? Anyway, Infocast allows you to instantly access your favorite Web-based content without the hassle of a computer. You can check your Facebook updates, view a slideshow of your favorite pictures, view and share photos and videos with friends and family (that also have a Chumby powered device) and you can choose from over 1,500 Web apps for news, weather, sports and games. The Infocast also lets you listen to your favorite music, from radio stations around the world or even podcasts from a number of different sou...

Anakin Star Wars LEGO Minifigure Alarm Clock

Are you a huge fan of Star Wars? Chances are pretty good that that is the case, since a huge number of the populace grew up on George Lucas’ space opera, and the current generation also had their brush with the prequels (which didn’t really live up in terms of storytelling although they did fare a whole lot better where special effects are concerned). Well, this has certainly led to the commercial juggernaut where Star Wars merchandise is concerned, and among the latest offerings would be the Anakin Star Wars LEGO Minifigure Alarm Clock. This £24.99 purchase will feature a relatively large LEGO minifig of the young Anakin before he started down on the path to the Dark Side, complete with the almighty snooze function (great to skipping Master Yoda’s classes) and backlight function which can be activated by pushing down on his head. Of course, his still human hands and legs can be moved (according to the limited degree of freedom for all LEGO figures). ...
